2023 Rainbow Nations Challenge Tennis Tournament Begins

The 2nd edition of the  Rainbow Nations Challenge tennis tournament will welcome  60 players from 20 countries to compete from February 21st to 23rd. This time, the tournament is hosted by the Ghana South African Business Chamber (GSABC) with the patronage of Her Excellency, the South African High Commissioner, Grace Mason.

The Rainbow Nations Challenge aims to bring together the international community and promote networking and cooperation between nations from the continents of Africa, Europe, North America, South America, Asia, and Australia. This year's tournament promises to be even bigger and better, with more countries and participants taking part.

The tournament will be held at the Accra Lawn Tennis Club, and matches will be contested under floodlights from 5-9pm. The doubles format will be followed by the grand final and a gala outdoor cocktail.

Grant Webber, the President of the Ghana South African Business Chamber, expressed his excitement for the tournament, stating, "We are thrilled to bring back the Rainbow Nations Challenge to Accra this year. We hope to continue fostering closer relationships with the diplomatic and business communities in Ghana, and use this opportunity to create a new framework for cooperation to navigate these uncertain times."

The tournament will not only bring the international and Ghanaian communities together but also raise funds for a collective CSR program under the guise of Rainbow Nations Players. The funds will be invested in an educational scholarship programme for girls with a focus on tennis.

The GSABC would like to extend their gratitude to all the sponsors who have supported them in putting together this tournament. Their support has allowed the chamber to host such a successful and vibrant event for so many people from diverse backgrounds.
