This year, the Annual Northern Tripartite Tennis Tournament has added a junior event.
The event which is always held on Farmers Day Weekend on a rotating schedule is aimed at fostering friendship between the Northern, Upper East and Upper West Region.
This year, Tennis Foundation Ghana in consultation with the host, Northern Region has added a junior version of the event.
Tennis Foundation Ghana donated 1000GHS as the Prize Money for the juniors.
TFG Holdings Chairman Roger Crawford said, "every junior tennis player in Ghana needs to be inspired to become the best version of themselves. They are the future of our sport. They may all not be professionals, but they will keep our sport alive, long after we are gone." Annual Northern Tripartite Tournament includes Juniors.
Chairman of Tamale Regional Tennis Association Mr. Bukari Danladi also doubles as the Chairman of NEDCo Tennis Club said, I am grateful that Tennis Foundation Ghana sponsored the first-ever junior tennis tournament at the Annual Northern Tripartite tourney, I am truly interested in the development of junior tennis, we want to encourage TFG to be more committed to the junior tennis development, and it's our desire to get more kids into the game of tennis and come out to play competitive tennis.
