Golden Rackets Leaves Ghana for ITF Davis Cup

Ghana's national male tennis team the Golden Rackets have left Ghana for Kigali-Rwanda to participate in the Africa Zone IV Davis Cup, which is scheduled from 26th to 29th July 2023. 

Two local based players, Samuel Antwi and Desmond Ayaaba and the team captain Frederick Egyir - who doubles as head coach left Ghana on 21st July 2023.The rest are US-based trio: Abraham Asaba, Isaac Nortey and Herman Abban will join the team on Saturday the 24th July 2023. 

Other teams heading to Rwanda include Angola, Botswana, Cameroon, Kenya, Nigeria and Mozambique. 

There will be two round-robin groups of four, and the top 3 in each group cross over in promotional play-offs and two will qualify. The bottom 2 in each group cross over in relegation play-offs and two will be relegated.
