Ghana's Sisu-Makena Tomegah fulfilled her potential by landing her first ITF singles title with a win over Nigeria's Ohunene Comfort Yakubu.

Sisu-Makena Tomegah becomes the first female tennis player to ever win an ITF World Tour Juniors event.

Sisu, seeded second, started impressively in front of an expectant home crowd but later lost confidence in the second set. She however regained confidence to wear down No.5 seed Ohunene Comfort.

Sisu clinched a 6-2,6-7(4),6-2 win in front of a delirious Accra Sports Stadium tennis center court audience. "I feel like I'm in a little bit of shock at the moment," Sisu said. "I feel like God puts you through tribulations and trials and that makes this even sweeter," added the Invictus tennis star Sisu. 'I'm thankful for this moment. I don't have any words."

In the boy's singles final, Ivory Coast star Francky Martial Hoimian won the Tennis Foundation Ghana ITF J30 Week1 title after defeating Ghana's Raphael Nii Ankrah 3-6,6-2, 6-4. In the boys' doubles final. Ghanaian pair Yakubu Abubakari and his partner singles finalist Raphael Nii Ankrah ousted singles winner Francky Martial Hoimian and Togolese partner, Kossi Andre Gakpo 6-4,3-6,10-6.

In the girls' doubles event, girls finalist Ohunene Comfort Yakubu of Nigeria and her partner Charnelle Fozo of Cameron beat Egypt's Lamiss Houas and Togolese Grace Tchamoussa Mazamesso 6-1,6-4.
