Johnson Acquah saw off Samuel Antwi to reach the finals of the Asamoah Gyan Foundation Top Tennis Stars Tourney at the Army Officers Tennis Club, Accra
2015 Davis Cup Star Japheth Bagerbaseh defeated Current Ghana tennis Federation (GTF) No.1 Johnson Acquah 6-3,6-1 in 2 hours 45 minutes to clinch the Baby-Jet Top Tennis Stars Tourney title at the Army Officers Tennis Club house, 37-Accra. 
The Accra Social Tennis Club was officially inaugurated today at a short ceremony at the National Tennis Centre.
Tennis Foundation Ghana (TFG) through its Second Serve Tennis Shop, has just entered into partnership with Japanese Tennis Equipment manufacturer, KPI.
Under the terms of the agreement, KPI through TFG will clothe and equip some Ghanaian Players in a trial sponsorship.

Like all who are playing in tomorrow's quarter finals, top seed Japhet Bagerbaseh is eyeing the ultimate trophy for the Baby Jet and Mancwa Commodities Top 16 Invitational tournament.



The three-day tournament started on Wednesday and ends on Saturday, August 29.



Bagerbaseh displayed  strength when he overcame a stiff challenge from Atomic tennis club's Samuel Antwi  6-4,6-7(5),6-4.



The first set was easier for the 2015 Golden Racket captain Japhet as he took over after the first game and neutralized Antwi's fight back strategy and won the set 6-4. But in the second set Antwi bounced back very well to win the set 7-6(5). The final set, Antwi was looking good for the first three games but was halted in the fourth game by Winneba based inform Bagerbaseh.

The Managing director of Engen Ghana Limited, Henry Akwaboah has been elected as the chairman of Sakumono Tennis Club for a 2-year term after Mr. Frank Addy's tenure came to an end.
Tennis Foundation Ghana( TFG) President Roger Crawford has promised his unflinching support to Ghana Tennis Federation (GTF) building of an ITF training center in Ghana.
