2022 National Juniors Wheelchair Tennis Training Camp in Cape Coast

International Tennis Federation wheelchair tennis development funded program for Ghana Wheelchair tennis Junior players came off on Sunday the 27th of November 2022 at the Cape Coast Sports stadium tennis court.

The over 16 Junior wheelchair tennis players within the ages of 11 to 18 years from Accra, Koforidua, Wa, Takoradi, Kumasi and Cape Coast were taken through the practical aspects of how to develop a game and what participants must do on the court at the 1 - day event.

The junior after their training session were taken on an excursion to the Cape Coast castle as an extra curriculum activity.

Emmanuel Amobire Amogoso who has the potential to participated in the 2022 ITF Africa Juniors camp in South Africa was happy because his junior colleagues also got the same experience he witnessed in South Africa, because the ITF wheelchair tennis consultant, Holger Losch gave them the best training drills.

The Coordinator for Ghana wheelchair tennis Mr. Henry Larbi said we were happy to have being able to host the ITF developments program for our Junior players because they are the future of Ghana Wheelchair Tennis.

The one day event was led by ITF instructor Holger Losch with support from 6 local wheelchair tennis coaches.

The National Juniors camp is funded by the Johan Cruyff Foundation through the ITF wheelchair tennis department .
