The 2nd edition of the much anticipated Syndey Katz Junior Open tournament is scheduled from 3rd to 8th January 2022 at the National Tennis Centre, Accra.
The Six-day junior's tournament has generated great levels of excitement within the Ghanaian tennis fraternity. The Junior Open is organized by the Michael Nortey Educational and Tennis Foundation with support from Activly Sports.
Speaking to the Foundation President, Former Davis Cup player Mr. Michael Nortey said, "We need good foundations and this is exactly what my Foundation is doing in developing and promoting tennis in Ghana'.
He explained that there will be contests in both boys and girls categories for Under-12, Under- 14 and Under-16.
According to the Catherine Morton, CEO of Activly Sports who also doubles as Vice Chair of Accra Social Tennis Club said, their collaboration to unearth tennis talents and ensure healthy lifestyle in the kids.
