Team Ghana Land in Nigeria for Davis Cup Group II Qualification 

The Golden Rackets have arrived in Nigeria for the Europe/Africa Davis Cup Group II qualification 

The Ghanaian contingent is made up of three foreign based players, Abraham Asaba, Isaac Nortey and Samuel Antwi with one local junior tennis player, Lameck Bagerbaseh. The team is led by Head coach and Captain Frederick Egyir.

 The players’ top quest at the tournament will be to gain promotion to the Europe/ Africa Group II. 

 Ghana stands a bright chance of gaining promotion this year with the crop of players that are at the tournament, having players who have been consistent in ITF tournaments on hard courts. 

 Meanwhile, the draws for the championship will be made on Sunday, where the captains of all teams will be present to ensure a smooth process for the brief event.

Other countries heading to Nigeria includes, Zimbabwe, Ivory Coast, Benin and Namibia.
