The top-seeded Chapepa sisters produced a composed and determined performance at the National Tennis Centre, Accra Sports Stadium, overcoming a competitive opening set before taking control of the championship match.

Dvir and Fennis pushed the Zimbabwean pair throughout the first set, but Kudzai and Kuzivaishe held their nerve in the decisive moments to edge ahead 7-5.

The Chapepa sisters then raised their level in the second set, combining effectively at the net and maintaining pressure on their opponents to secure a commanding 6-2 finish and complete a straight-sets victory.

The triumph marks a memorable achievement for the Zimbabwean sisters, who leave Accra as J60 Girls’ Doubles champions after defeating the tournament’s No. 2 seeds in the final.

For Dvir and Fennis, the runner-up finish capped a strong tournament campaign, with the Israeli-Dutch partnership battling their way into the championship match before ultimately falling to the Chapepa sisters.

The J60 Accra forms part of the ITF World Tennis Tour Juniors, providing young players from Ghana, Africa and beyond with an opportunity to compete for international junior ranking points and gain valuable experience on the global tennis pathway.
