During the just ended ITF / CAT Annual General Meeting in Accra, I had the rare opportunity to talk with International Tennis Federation (ITF) Development Officer for Africa Amine Ben Makhlouf.
Amine commended Ghana for the strides made so far in helping develop young talents for the ITF Junior Tour.
He was particularly full of praise of TFG President, Roger Crawford saying: "I have to commend Roger for the organisation of the 4 weeks of the Junior Tour Events in Accra. Roger is really doing a good job for Ghana."
When I pressed Amine on his relationship with Roger, he said:"my relationship with Roger is very professional. There were issues during the tournament but I am happy with the way he handled it."
It is important to note that Ghana currently has the most number of junior tour events in the West African Sub Region.
Tennis Foundation Ghana under the auspices of the Ghana Tennis Federation have been hosting the Junior Tour events in Accra since 2018.
