The 2023 Sydney Katz Junior Open 16 and under champion, Joseph Korku Doe-Adjani has been selected by International Tennis Federation for the African Regional Training Centre based in Sousse, Tunisia.
The 15-year-old Doe Adjani justified his reputation as the top-ranked junior player in the boys' 16 and under category in Ghana after beating Aaron Armaah in the final.
Doe needs an amount of Four thousand and Five hundred dollars ($4,500.00) to make it into the ITF Training Centre.
Speaking to ghanatennis.org, coach Doe Adjani who is also the father of the young star said, "I am delighted that my son has been listed among other tennis players to be at ITF training centre. We are pleading with kind-hearted people to come to my son's aid so he can make it into ITF centre."
Doe Adjani was selected based on his current ITF ranking, Confederation of African Tennis (CAT) U 14 Ranking and African Junior Championship results (AJC). Should he be able to raise the needed funds.
Doe should have left counrtry last month but lack of funds, Doe is still in Ghana. He will be leaving alongside Raphael Dowuona and Aaron Armaah.
