Tracy Ampah wins TennisChic Mother's Day Tourney

Tracy Ampah of Accra Girls' Senior High School and Goldfields Tennis Club, Tarkwa won the 2nd edition of TennisChic Mother's Day doubles tourney professionals singles title after overcoming Lawrencia Aghoghorbia of University of Ghana and St. Francis Tennis Academy on Saturday. Tracy Ampah won straight sets 6-3, 6-2 at the Sakumono Tennis Club.
Tracy was flawless in execution at the final as she broke Lawrencia's serve twice to win the first set 6-3.
In the second set Tracy Ampah was dominant and lived up to her billing as the greatest competitor on the hard court for the day.
In the ladies doubles event, Ho tennis club's duo, Precious Nunana and Linda Sedinam defended their title at the TennisChic Mother's Day doubles tournament beating Eugenia Asigri and her partner Afia Oforiwaa 9-5.
Speaking to ghanatennis.org CEO of TennisChic Ruweida Lamptey said, this year's edition turnout was amazing.
Insha Allah Next year will have bigger numbers, better prizing and a more competitive tournament.
'The Professionals really do have a future in this game I pray and urge them on to take training seriously and seize every opportunity to play in any tournament that comes up because it will prepare them for any international tournament' she stressed on
