The defining storyline of Ghana's tournament was the phenomenal debut of 16-year-old Gwendolyn Duvor Klu. Making her very first senior appearance for the national team, the teenager put on a masterclass in composure and competitive maturity, delivering a stellar overall record of five wins from seven matches, including three in singles and a flawless two in doubles.
In Ghana’s opening tie against Kenya, Klu immediately announced her presence on the senior international stage with a commanding straight-sets singles victory over Roselida Asumwa with scores of 6-2 and 6-3, setting the tone for a stunning sweep by the Ghanaian team. She followed it up by teaming up with Sisu-Makena Tomegah to comfortably take the doubles rubber.
Against seasoned opponents from nations like Algeria, Tunisia, and Namibia, Klu routinely displayed remarkable mental fortitude. In her gruelling two-hour battle against Tunisia's Sarra Attig, she fought tooth and nail through long, physical rallies, proving she could trade blows with players possessing far more senior circuit experience.

Following her discovery at the 2025 September J30 events by Tennis Foundation Ghana, she has gone on to represent Ghana in the 2025 Youth Games in Angola and most recently in the BJK Cup in Gaborone. Despite her ability to represent both France and England, the youngster chose to represent her father's home country of Ghana.
