ACCRA, Ghana — Spain's Javier Montes Jimenez and Morocco's Ghali Salah-Eddine have been crowned champions of the ITF World Tennis Tour Juniors J60 Accra Boys' Doubles, defeating Ghanaian pair Joseph Sonny Attisogbei and Raphael Nii Nortei Dowuona in straight sets at the National Tennis Centre, Accra Sports Stadium.

The top-seeded Spanish-Moroccan partnership produced a composed performance in the final, overcoming the second-seeded Ghanaian duo 6-4, 6-4 to lift the boys’ doubles title.

Jimenez and Salah-Eddine established control early in both sets, handling the pressure of a home crowd backing Attisogbei and Dowuona.

The Ghanaian pair fought hard throughout the contest, but the No. 1 seeds maintained their composure at the crucial moments to close out both sets by the same 6-4 scoreline.

The victory capped a strong campaign for Jimenez and Salah-Eddine at the J60 Accra, adding the boys’ doubles crown to a tournament that has brought together promising junior players from Ghana, Africa and beyond.

For Attisogbei and Dowuona, reaching the final represented another significant milestone on the international junior circuit, as the Ghanaian pair battled through a competitive field to earn their place in the championship match.

The J60 Accra is part of the ITF World Tennis Tour Juniors and is being staged at the National Tennis Centre at the Accra Sports Stadium as part of the Tennis Foundation Ghana (TFG) junior tournament programme.

The event provides young players with an opportunity to compete for international ranking points and valuable experience as they continue their development towards higher levels of the sport.

With the boys’ doubles final now concluded, Jimenez and Salah-Eddine leave Accra as J60 champions, while Attisogbei and Dowuona finish as runners-up after a determined run on home soil.
