Coming off a triumph at the inaugural Ga Mantse Tennis Open, Lameck Bagerbaseh proved his dominance in Accra by sweeping the TPG National Ranking Tour 3 title with a 6-2, 6-1 victory over Samuel Aryettey in the men's singles final.
Bagerbaseh’s campaign throughout Tour 3 was defined by relentless pressure and clinical execution. He opened his main draw run in devastating fashion on October 28, brushing aside Amos Asante 6-1, 6-3 in the Round of 32 before returning to dispatch Michael Dosoo 6-2, 6-0 in the Round of 16. Surrendering just six games across his first four sets of play, Bagerbaseh quickly established himself as the man to beat.
After advancing past Johnson Acquah via a quarterfinal walkover, Bagerbaseh faced his sternest test of the week in the semifinals against Emmanuel Antwi. In a high-caliber clash, Bagerbaseh dropped a tight opening-set tiebreak 6(4) - 7 . Unfazed, he regrouped to claim the second set 6-4 and held his nerve through a deciding final-set tiebreak 7 - 6(4) , demonstrating championship composure to secure his spot in the final.
That semifinal grit set up a final showdown against Samuel Aryettey, who had earned a reputation as the tournament's ultimate comeback specialist after recovering from set deficits against Thomas Boakye Asare and Japheth Anwasiba Bagerbaseh.
However, the final belonged entirely to Bagerbaseh. Neutralizing Aryettey’s defensive game from the opening serve, Bagerbaseh claimed the first set 6-2 before breaking repeatedly in the second to seal a 6-1 victory in straight sets.
From lifting the trophy at the inaugural Ga Mantse Tennis Open to dominating the court at the TPG Tour 3, Bagerbaseh has cemented his status as the form player in Ghanaian tennis, capturing back-to-back titles in back-to-back weeks in Accra.

The TPG National Ranking Tour 3 (Men's) taking place in Accra from October 26 to 30 has set up a compelling narrative between two vastly different playing styles, as Samuel Aryettey and Lameck Bagerbaseh have blazed their trails through the competition. While Aryettey's tournament has been a testament to physical grit and mental fortitude, Bagerbaseh has delivered a masterclass in clinical efficiency, setting up an intriguing dynamic as the tournament reaches its business end.
